My New Favourite Poet
Two words- Erin. Hanson.
After reading her poem 'Welcome to Society' it both engaged and enraged me. I ran around the house reading it to different family members and even made it my background on my phone for a little while (until a cute picture of my dog took priority - sorry erin).
Her poetry impressed me so much, it inspired me and my writing to extents I can't describe. Of course, on this blog, you have only seen a few of my more relaxed reviews and placid articles. But in my journal, I write a lot of poetry I do not have the confidence to share with others. My poetry is deeply inspired by personal tales and is taken from the deep depths of myself I like to pretend isn't there. I truly admire, and admittedly envy Erin's confidence to put her writing out there, under the critical eye of the public. But I guess it all paid off, she now has a large following of people equally as impressed by her poetry as I was.
So thank you, Erin.

THE NOTEBOOK
So after sobbing through Fast and Furious 7, I was desperately in the mood for a good chick flick where I could cry my eyes out, deciding on watching The Notebook. Side note- let me know if you guys want a fast and furious review :)
After settling down with a box of tissues and my trusty side serving of rocky road, I was ready to turn the waterworks on. As if seeing Rachel and Ryan (BABE ALERT!) on screen together wasn't enough to make me bawl, just take me to the next scene where their characters have aged a few decades- tears, tears and more tears.
And don't even try to tell me that you can't cry if you've watched it more than once. Because I have lost count of the times I've watched it and yet I still manage to bawl my eyes out every. single. time.
I just love how the movie is set in the sixties, an extremely influential era in fashion history and I just gape at every outfit Rachel sports, as well as fawn over the parts Ryan wears cute shirts, as well as the times he doesn't...
Please please please don't even get me started on Ally's parents because that will start a rant I don't have the time or the energy to type out.
The last scene in the nursing home really got me, and I just wanted to jump into the movie and hug Noah & Ally.
So I'm just gonna sign this post out with puffy eyes and a bin full of tissues.
Type to you later xxx

REVIEW- My experience with Rubi Shoes...
Hey Guys!
Today I wanted to talk about a recent experience I had with Rubi Shoes. For those who don't live in Australia and have never heard about Rubi, heres their website, and worldwide shipping is pretty good considering that Australia is like a a gazillion kilometres away from everyone & everything.
Admittedly, I buy from Rubi a lot and its never just a few things either. It's fair to say I often buy in bulk when purchasing from Rubi. Although they don't have the best quality shoes, lasting me two seasons of wear at most, you really get what you pay for. All in all, I've had a not bad experience with Rubi shoes. I won one of their competitions they did as a promotion through Instagram. I sported myself a $20 voucher which didn't buy me much, but still got me a discount on a pair of shoes I wanted.
Uggghhhhh but one time, I had the most unfortunate incident with Rubi. Long, long, long, long story short I received a promo email offering me (a VIP member) 30% off full priced items in store. I had been eyeing a suuuuper cute pair of black, platform moccasins that just screamed my name, and they would've come down from $40 to $28 which I thought was pretty good.
So after hitching a ride, making my way over to the closest Rubi store and going over my data limit loading the stupid promo email for half an hour, the girl that worked at Rubi wouldn't give me the discount!!!!!! She rang her manager or some other boss who wouldn't even pick up their phone but during this, I was falling in love with the shoes. So I payed full price for them, after enduring a big hoo-rah about it.
A few days later, my bank account started feeling guilty for paying a whole $12 more than I should have. Okay yes, I'm cheap, but its not about the money, its about the principle behind the fact I was cheated out of my hard-earned moolah.
So basically, I sent an email to Rubi HQ, an email I only had because of winning the competition mentioned earlier (otherwise there would have been no email to send feedback to, note to rubi staff: make one!!! please!!!) and complained about the promo email, the rude Rubi staff member, and so they sent me a $15 voucher along with an apology. Yes, thats right a whole $3 more than I had been cheated out of. Three dollars, really? Wouldn't want to put you out of business there, Rubi.

The Pilot Post
Hey there loves!
So I guess this is my first blog post, hey?
This blog is generally going to be an outlet for the craziness bouncing around in my head. I'm going to try and stick with the theme of lifestyle, so regular blog posts reviewing books I've read, makeup I want to use, outfits I want to buy, workouts I want to try, food I've eaten, quotes I've heard, and pictures I've liked.
So why not stick around, post me a comment and share this blog with your friends?
